Hi Unity Users! This week’s digest includes important announcements regarding cluster security and a last call for user experience feedback…
‼️ Cluster Security Updates
To increase cluster security given the rise in tainted packages and kernel exploits, and the popularity of AI agents, we are enacting the following measures:
- Files created in group directories are now created without group write by default. To add group write to a directory, the directory owner can manually run
chmod -R g+w <directory> - The
uv/latestmodule now setsUV_EXCLUDE_NEWER="1 week" - All user-facing nodes will reboot during every monthly maintenance period as we aggressively apply updates.
✍️ Last Call: Unity User Feedback Form!
